IMS has been in business for over 30 years. Charles E. Fritsch founded the company for the purpose of providing consulting services to Businesses. Through the years services have been provided internationally in the areas of import/export, tax shelters, construction, product sales and distribution, hotel and casino operations.

Perhaps the best way to present a clear idea of what IMS does is through examples:

SITUATION: Funds need to be raised for startup or growth.


SOLUTIONS: The first step needed to evaluate the situation properly is to look at the business plan. If no written plan is available then we must create one. We examine assets, liabilities, strengths and weaknesses of the business, and incorporate these into the plan. This plan will establish the amount of money needed. Once the amount needed has been determined, it will indicate the most likely funding source(s). Then a presentation targeted to the specific source needs to be prepared. The final step is devising the approach and promotional technique needed to succeed in the funding.

SITUATION: Credit obligations have exceeded the capital and cash flow to pay them all. Payments have fallen behind and some creditors are threating to take action to collect. An attorney has recommended bankruptcy.


SOLUTIONS: IMS first conducts an evaluation of the assets and liabilities of the corporation and its present condition. We then devise a plan to restructure the business. The objective is to put the balance sheet in the black and make the current debts manageable. The feasibility of this plan is governed by the immediate contacting of all the creditors, and making deals as to what is owed them and how it is to be paid.

If things have gone too far and the creditors are going to take legal action the alternative may be bankruptcy. IMS’s objective here is to advise the proper moves to protect the individuals involved in the business. There can be all types of potential liabilities for owners and/or executives. Many times the business actions needed to protect themselves are not attended to by their attorney.

SITUATION: The company is growing faster than its administration, systems and controls can keep up.


SOLUTIONS: IMS conducts and evaluation with the client and the information he provides. We create a list of what has worked in the past to create the growth, and a list of what is not working now (problem areas). IMS then uses its experience and objectivity to formulate suggestions to correct the problem areas.

SITUATION: The client is having problems being objective about his business. He finds it difficult to confide in those close to him for fear they may react by seeing this as a weakness.


SOLUTIONS: Confiding in someone during these times is actually strength in judgement and character. This is to say nothing of the fact that the consultation may save the company from serious potential problems. We find that many times this situation is caused by everyday stress or the client may just be somewhat burnt-out. Sharing their concerns confidentially with an impartial party who has a good understanding can often be the answer in itself. We find in using this technique, most of the time the concerns and/or their solutions are readily discovered by the client themselves
.

SITUATION: A person(s) are looking to buy a business or franchise.


SOLUTIONS: They are usually confused and/or overwhelmed with the one sided information presented to them by the promoter or seller. All the positives are presented to make the deal attractive to the buyer.

IMS helps the buyer evaluate the business proposal, find the pros and cons and express the information in an objective format. Most importantly we then help the client evaluate if the proposition is right for them. The key being to help the client keep their objectivity in making their decision.

SITUATION: A business needs to have some idea of its value.


SOLUTIONS:
Most of the time it is very difficult for a business owner to objectively place a value on their business. They may need the business's value to finance, raise additional capital, sell or liquidate.
